OFFICER AND COMMITTEE JOB DESCRIPTIONS
The new Board takes offices each year on June 1 and will be voted on at the April or May meeting.
For the Club Treasurer and the Student Treasurer, we would like someone
who has some type of accounting or banking background if possible.
Each office is held for a 2-year term unless otherwise voted on.
  • President: Teresa Owens, 2010-2011
     
    Conduct all meetings
     
    Represents the Club to the public
     
    Oversee all committees and officer positions and assist as needed
     
    Chairman of the Hospitality Committee
     
    Coordinates Orientation meeting and Ft. Mtn. Classic as well as any other large events

  • Vice-President: Audrey Gallman, 2010-2011
      Maintains rolls of membership of students
      Maintains attendance record at Booster meetings
      Maintains updated phone directory and mailing addresses of students
      Assume duties of President in his/her absence
      Assists other committees as needed
      Chairman of Nominating Committee
             In charge of searching for and replacing officers, conducting nominations and          votes. Presented at March meeting and voted on at April meeting.

  • Recording Secretary: Christy Capehart, 2010-2011
      Keep records and minutes of all meetings of the Booster and Executive Board
      Maintain a central calendar with all activities
      Amend Bylaws as voted on
      Chairman of Social Committee
             In charge of Senior Night, Banquet and any parties given by Boosters

  • Corresponding Secretary: Craig Morton, 2010-2011
      Compose and mail out any correspondence of the Booster Club (includes web page updates)
      Chairman of the Chaperone Committee and Chuckwagon Committee
             In charge of getting chaperones for all trips of the band program
             In charge of arranging for food and drinks for all away games and competitions

  • Publicity Secretary: Vacant
      In charge of all advertising
      Maintain a scrapbook of band activities (optional)
      Chairman of Publicity Committee
             This will include taking pictures for newspaper ads regarding accomplishments

  • Club Treasurer: Lynne Stafford, 2010-2011
      Maintains all club monies, receipts and deposits, pay bills, maintain reports in individual notebooks, prepares monthly reports for distribution at Booster Meetings.
      Must make themselves available at all times either by phone or email (that can be checked daily), for the purpose of getting checks to people on time.
      Make sure info for 1099's gets to accountant by middle of January so they can be mailed by the 31st of January
      Make sure an extension is filed by May 15 for tax purposes
      Get all records to accountant by first of July so that an Agreed Upon Procedures Financial Letter can be done by the accountant as well as taxes prepared.
      Chairman of the Concession Committee

  • Student Account Treasurer (appointed position): Melinda Kinsey, 2010-2011
      Shall work together with the Club Treasurer
      Maintain individual accounts of students
      Receive all monies dealing with students and then disburse amounts owed to Club Acct.
      No bills shall be paid from the Student Account other than those requested paid by a student from their account
      Chairman of Fundraising Committee
  • Fundraising Organizer: Kaye Osby, 2010-2011
      Coordinates all fundraiser.
      Make all contacts needed for each fundraiser
      Make all copies needed
      Compose any correspondence, tickets, etc.
      Schedule times for students to meet to pickup or turn in fundraiser items or money
      Keep good records on all donations and any forms used
      Keep good records of student check out and check in of all fundraisers and money

  • Concession Organizer:
      Taking inventory each week
      Placing orders with Pepsi
      Placing orders for staple goods
      Placing orders for Chick-fil-a and Pizza
      Placing orders for Italian Ice
      Picking up all supplies needed
      Putting items away when delivered
      Leaving and picking up key each day for deliveries
      Scheduling works each week to work (Approx. 35 people)
      Set up on Thursday night
      Make sure concession is cleaned properly and left in an orderly manner
      People working should be there by 5:30 pm in order to be able to open for business at 6:00 pm
