2010
- 2011 Band Booster Officer Openings:
Each year we must say good bye to seniors and their
parents. At the same time, we would like to offer
an opportunity to new members to also serve and become
involved. The strength of our Organization depends
upon each individual to willingly give of his/her
time and support.
To
be eligible for one of these positions, the member
must be the parent or legal guardian of a Band student,
with the exception of the Band Director or an Appointed
Position, and should have participated in at least
50% of all Band Booster Activities. Also, must be
able to attend the Boosters Officers meetings
as well as the Band Boosters meetings.
If
you are interested in one of these positions or would
like to nominate someone for one, please contact Delaine

Deadline is March 1, 2010.

2010 - 2011 Band Booster
Officer Openings:
PRESIDENT -
Conducts all meetings.
Represents the Club to the public.
Oversees all committees and officer positions and
assist as needed.
Chairman of the Hospitality Committee.
Coordinates Orientation meeting & Ft. Mtn. Classic
as well as any other large event.
VICE
PRESIDENT -
Maintains roll of membership of students.
Maintains
attendance record at Booster meetings.
Maintains
updated phone directory & mailing address of students.
Assume
duties of the President in his/her absence.
Assists
other committees as needed.
Chairman
of the Nominating Committee.
In charge of searching for and replacing officers,
conducting nominations and votes presented at the
March meeting and voted on in Aprils meeting.
CORRESPONDING
SECRETARY -
Compose
& mail out any correspondence of the Booster Club
(includes web page updates).
Chairman
of the Chaperone Committee & Chuckwagon Committee.
In
charge of getting chaperones for all trips of band
program.
In
charge of arranging for food & drinks for all
away games & competitions.

PENNIES
4 PLUMES UPDATE:
Okay band kids...as you know by now the "PLUMES"
are here because you have marched in them. We wanted
ya'll to have them for the competions because you worked
really hard to raise $900.00 of the $1,561.00 it cost
to get them. And yes we had fun with the halfway point
when Mr. Weaver let you cut ALL of his hair off but
now that marching season is over with it seems you have
forgotten about the Pennies 4 Plumes Program. We have
a few coins (a very small amount) come in every now
and then but it's not adding up to much and we still
have a way to go.
We
have a balance of $661.00 to go and only 5 short months
to get it done. That's about $132.00 to raise each
month. We still have the names of the students that
have turned in their bottles for the cash drawings
but we need to get the money in first.
It
was an agreement that the money be raised for the
plumes in order for you to have them this year and
we (the Band Boosters) do appreciate what has been
raised so far. You have done a great job. So please,
if you have your bottles at home or if Mom or Dad
has one at work, finish filling them up and get them
in. I know we can get this done.

Parents,
Just a reminder:
Band fees are due no later then December 9 or
grades and report cards will be held for non-payment.
If anyone has a problem doing so, they need to call
Melinda Kinsey to make other arrangements -
706-217-8546.
Also, if your child plans to participate in either Indoor
Drumline or Winterguard all Fall fees must be paid current
as well.
Any and all monies paid towards the spring trip or
fund raising funds will be applied towards past due
fees before they will be applied to anything else.
