Carley - Mascot
These are the visual ensembles of the Indian Marching Band. They use motion, props, and color to interpret the musical performance of the group. Students must audition for these sections.
  • You will need to bring the following equipment to try-outs:
    Baton
    Comfy clothes that fall into school dress code: t-shirt, socks, athletic shoes, and shorts.
    Hair accessories to keep hair out of your face
    Sunglasses
    Water

  • The day of try-outs you will need:
    Baton
    A plain white shirt
    Black Shorts
    Athletic Shoes
    Hair pulled back out of your face
    Make up
    Water

  • The following rules will be enforced during try-outs and marching season:
    You must be on time for practice.
    No cell phone use during practice. You may use it only during breaks.
    All school rules apply to try-outs and the season.

  • Twirls to learn for try-outs:
    One turn
    Finger Twirls
    Box Toss
    Eagles
    Around the Worlds
    Pencil Twirl
    Horizontal Twirl
    Verticla Twirl

Results will be posted after guard/majorette try-outs have been completed Friday night.
They are usually posted on the band room door...usually very late that night, almost close to midnight.

Majorette Fees: $390 (in addition to band fees)
This fee does not include shoes.
The majorette fees are broken down into monthly payments, which are always due on the fifteenth of the month. The majorettes also get an $80.00 discount on thier band fees their first year that they purchase a uniform.

The first paymentof $25.00 will be due in May on the first day of practice.

June $120.00 - July $120.00 - August $120.00
