Whenever we say Band, we include Guard, just like we include the Brass, Woodwinds and Percussion
- at least during the fall marching season. The Guard are the key to the band's visual performances.

After marching season is over Band turns into the concert season and Guard becomes Winterguard.
The guard moves indoors where they compete with other guards from schools throughout the state.
